At Billy Goat Moving & Storage, we love being a part of the Fort Collins community, and we’re proud to serve the entire state of Colorado. Being in Northern Colorado, we love this time of year, as summer gives way to fall and the weather gets a little bit cooler. It’s still nice enough to be outside, enjoying your favorite beer at your favorite brewery, or going on a hike in the Rockies.
If you’ve just moved to town, or you’re a college student and you’ve rented a new place for the semester, then you’re likely looking for things to do in and around Fort Collins this fall. If you haven’t moved yet, but you’re thinking about it, then call our moving company today. We’ll make sure that your belongings arrive safe and sound, so that you can focus on enjoying your new surroundings.
1. Visit a Brewery
Northern Colorado, especially Fort Collins, is known around the world for its craft breweries. The big names like Odell and New Belgium have large taprooms and outdoor spaces where you can enjoy their beer, but if you’re looking for a smaller setting, then there are plenty of places from which to choose. Breweries such as Maxline or Zwei have great beer on tap, as well as outdoor patios where you can enjoy the fall weather.
2. Discover a Favorite New Band
One of Fort Collins’ biggest music events of the year, Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, just took place a few weeks ago, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of live music still to enjoy this year. Old Town is buzzing multiple nights a week with various bands and musicians, and you can discover a new favorite at a number of venues. You can catch a show at the Aggie Theatre, or you can stop into Hodi’s Half Note or Surfside 7 to catch a local band putting on a great show.
3. Learn Something New
You might not be heading back to school this fall, but you’re still looking to learn something new. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to take a cooking class, or you want to learn how to make pottery. There are plenty of opportunities for adults to learn new skills, and fall can be a great time to do so. If you’re new to town, it can also be a great way to meet new people and find out more about the community.
At Billy Goat, we’re here to help make your move to Fort Collins as easy as possible. If you already live in the area, but you’re planning to move to another house or apartment, then we can handle your local move. If you’re coming from somewhere else in Colorado, such as Durango or Sterling, then we can manage your long-distance relocation.
We hope that this post has given you some ideas on things that you can do this fall in Northern Colorado. These three are a small sample of the things you can discover, and when you work with our moving company, we’ll gladly answer any questions you have about the area.
